Paperbabe Stamps New Release - Introductions day 2

Hello! Welcome to day two of Paperbabe Stamps Introductions. Today we have two products to share with you.

Afro Curlies comprises of 7 nesting  hair dies, a die to create a slot to pop the head into. A head scarf, parted hair die, individual curls and a die that could be used to create Bantu Knots. This set really is so versatile and gives you so many creative options.

Curly Plate is exactly what it says; a plate that creates curl! Use it together with one of the large Afro dies to add texture. This is such a cool die.

I used the Afro Curlies die and the Curly plate to create the hair for my project. I used the Jointed Paper Art Doll Dies and stamps to add the head and torso. I gave her a little top using the Vintage Doll Paper Pad and the T-Shirt and Necklines Template,

I added white gel pen highlights to the face and head scarf and a tattoo to the neck. I kept the card simple, a fine line border and a stamped sentiment from the Flourish and Grow set and a few inky splatter.

All of the new items will be available to purchase tomorrow from The Paperbabe Stamps Store.

Paperbabe Stamps New Release - Introductions Alessia and Choppy Bob

Hello Crafty Friends, I am super excited to be able to share a couple of projects with you for dau 1 of the introductions at Paperbabe Stamps.

These new Hair Dies have been designed to go along with the Jointed Paper Art Doll dies that were released a year or so ago.

This is Aleesia hair die, the most popular hair design in the template range. It can be used for the portrait and 3/4 view heads. It can be layered up very easily, to give lovely dimension as well as great snip-ability

Here I cut the hair from Patterned paper and added some ink blending for a funky look. I used the Jointed Paper Art Doll Dies and stamps to add the head and torso. I gave her a little top using the Vintage Doll Paper Pad and the T-Shirt and Necklines Template,

I kept the card design simple by adding inky splatters, a fine line border and a sentiment from the Flourish and Grow stamp set.

This is Choppy Bob. There are six pieces in this design that can be used in a variety of ways, from layering or using parts in a unique way, change the parting and can also be used for the portrait and 3/4 view heads.

I used the Jointed Paper Art Doll Dies and stamps to add the head and torso. I gave her a little top using the Vintage Doll Paper Pad and the T-Shirt and Necklines Template, I cut the hair from coloured card and added a sparkle pen line to the cut details. I used alcohol markers to add colour to the face and body

I kept the card design simple by adding inky splatters, a fine line border and a sentiment from the Flourish and Grow stamp set.

Please stop by tomorrow for the introduction of some more new products. The new release will be available to purchase Saturday 29th October 2022.

Paperbabe Stamps Challenge 173

Hello, Today I am sharing a DT inspiration project for the current Paperbabe Stamps Challenge. The theme is anything goes.

I thought it would be really fun to create something a little different. I decided to to make some funky earrings that are attached to a gift card. I used the new Mini Hands stamp set to stamp onto shrink plastic with Stazon ink, I stamped two hands and then added the arms.

I fussy cut them and added some brown alcohol based ink to the reverse. Before shrinking them I punched a hole at the top of each arm, once shrunk the hole is the perfect size to add a jump ring to. I then added a Fish Hook earring wire.

The back ground was created with a stencil and black stencil paste on a die cut shape. Once dry I punched two very small holes to add the earrings to. I added a stamped and heat embossed sentiment using the new Handwritten stamp set. I added all of the elements to a hot pink A2 cardbase.

Paperbabe Stamps New release DT Inspiration

Hey there Crafty friends, It's been way to long since we've had a new release at Paperbabe Stamps, but you know how it is! The world has been a strange place for the last two and a half years and things sometimes just get in the way.

However, fear not because we are back with 3 new stamp sets and a new Mixed Media template, plus lots of Design Team projects to help inspire you.

My first card is a clean and simple one, I used the Mini Hands stamp set along with the Handwritten sentiment stamp set. The great thing about the Mini Hands stamp set is that you get the both the left and right hands in numerous poses. This enabled me to use a quick hack to add colour to the hands.

I started by placing the hands and sentiments onto an A2 note card, I wanted the hands to be framing the sentiment, so placement was very important. I stamped the hands and sentiments in black ink, I then removed all the stamps from my stamping platform and added the opposite hands in a back to front orientation over the stamped hands outline. This allows you to use the reverse of a stamp to add colour. I love how it gives a very simple artsy feel. I then added the red heart to the centre of the heart outline.

My second card features the Mystic Adornments stamp set. I stamped lots of the images in clear Versamark ink onto Emerald cardstock and heat embossed in copper. I love this colour combination.

I then heat embossed one of the sentiments from the Handwritten stamp set onto vellum. I carefully torn around it and punched a couple of holes to allow me to thread some twine. I used the twine to secure the sentiment to the card with washi tape on the reverse. I then added the panel to an A2 notecard.

I hope you have enjoyed my projects and have found inspiration.

Paperbabe Stamps challenge #135

We have a new challenge on the Paperbabe Stamps blog today, this time it's a picture inspiration challenge.

To me the picture represents women feeling positive in clothing of their choice. I like the different patterns so decided to create a Jointed Paper Art Doll.

My doll is looking a lot more casual but so comfy in the clothing of her choice. I used the  JPAD body die, Hands stamp and die, Portrait head die and stamps and  Taura hair to make her.

Her clothes were created using the Vintage Doll patterned paper pad. Currently she doesn't have a background as I will be adding her to a bigger project in the future along with others I make, like the one below. I love how each doll can have it's own personality,

Paperbabe Stamps November release Day 2: 3/4 view Jointed paper art doll

Welcome to the second day of the November release introductions for Paperbabe Stamps. Today we are taking a look at the 3/4 view Head dies and face stamps. If you missed yesterdays reveal you can pop by the Paperbabe Stamps Blog to see the product images and get the links to the DT who have shared projects so far.

I have created an 8x8 page using the Jointed paper art doll, 3/4  view head and face stamps. As you can see, my doll has been trimmed down to fit the page, you can use any part you like to create your projects.

Kim has designed so many different hairstyles which allow you to create your dolls with different styles to suit the race you choose. Here I create a girl of colour with Natural hair. I am so glad Kim has given us this option, it's refreshing to see different ethnicity's referenced in the crafting world.

My doll is wearing clothes designed with the clothing templates which will also be available tomorrow. The graffiti sentiment was stamped with the Watercolour alphabet stamp set. I also added some images which are part of the stamp sets available in this new release.

Yesterday I shared a project using the Portrait doll, you can see that here>https://terrikoszler.blogspot.com/2020/11/paperbabe-stamps-november-release-jpad.html

Join us tomorrow for a blog hop to celebrate the new release going live in store.

Paperbabe Stamps November release: JPAD Portrait Face/head stamps and dies intro day

Hello and Welcome, I am so excited to be writing this post and sharing some images of a project made with some of the new items from the new release.  This month we are releasing the Jointed Paper Art Doll (JDAP for short). Kim has put a lot of time and love into getting these new items in to production and I know you are going to love them.

So what is a Jointed paper art doll I hear you say. Well let me show you,

The Doll has been designed so that all of the limbs, head, torso and hips are able to move and strike a pose.  Kim has also designed an awesome paper brad that allows you to put the doll together without the added bulk of traditional brads or eyelets, and better still they are not visible once assembled.  As you can see from the pictures below you can use metal fastenings if you choose.

Lets have a look at my project for today's intro

First off can I just say how cute is she? I am so in love with how she looks. I used the paper pack that Kim designed to create clothes for her.

Did I mention that there are coordinating stamps that work with the doll dies? Stamps for the face, ears, hands and even some that you can use for tattoos or to decorate your project.

There are even some clothing templates too! I think these are so cool, the options are endless.

Kim also designed several hairstyles too. The face stamps are all grouped together so that you stamp a full face with perfect proportions in one stamping, no more getting the eyes too high or mouth too low, Kim has literally taken all of the hard work out of it for us so that we can spend more time being creative.

I hope that you are as excited as me about the new release. Please pop back tomorrow for another day of introductions and then on Saturday for the full release.

Paperbabe Stamps Challenge 122 - DT Inspiration

Hello Crafty friends, it's time for a new challenge over at Paperbabe Stamps blog, the theme this time is "Anything Goes"

It's a perfect oppertunity to spend a little time creating something of your choosing, have fun and relax.

I have created a mono print inspired by one of Kims recent Youtube tutorials, you can see it here Flourishing hair tutorial

I started by grabbing my Gelli Plate and some acrylic paints, I opted for  green tones. I laid down some paint and used some bubble wrap, hessian and scrunched paper to lift some ink. I then placed the Flourishing hair template and Dinky hands template on to the Gelli plate (remembering to place them back to front) and then pulled a print.

I used the 3/4 right view female face stamps, , Dinky hands stamps,  and flourishing hair stamps to add all the details of the lady to my print. I added a free hand border with a fineliner pen and my piece was done.

To join in with the challenge you can visit the Paperbabe Stamps blog where you will find the Linky tool and details on prizes.

Paperbabe Stamps challenge 121 - DT Inspiration

It's time for a new Paperbabe Stamps Challenge, this fortnight the theme is a sketch challenge.

You can use the sketch above in any way you choose, flip it, rotate it ect, the Paperbabe logo can be any image or sentiment of your choosing. Have fun and get creative.

I used the ISO Fun Stencil along with my Gelli plate and Acrylic paints to create some background prints. I used these to make the backgroud of my card.  I used the Bottle of Stencil to add an aged effect to the top portion of the card along with the drink me sentiment from the Bottle of Stamp Set.

I stamped the Bottle onto another mono print I created and fussy cut it. I added the tag and one of the words and wraped soem twine around the bottle and tied the tage in place. I added it using 3D glue gel and then embellished with a spirnkle of satin gold sequins.

Paperbabe Stamps challenge #120 - DT Inspiration

It's time for a new challenge from Paperbabe Stamps,
the theme this time is "Quotes"

I have used the Iso Fun Stencil and Flourish and Grown Stamp Set. I started by creating a mono print on my Gelli Plate, I used several of my Paperbabe stencils to add texture and interest. Once dry I ran the background through my die cutting machine with the Iso Fun stencil and a rubber embossing mat, I love using stencils to dry emboss, it gives them a whole new use in my crafy arsenal.

I stamped the words Dream, Sparkle and Flourish onto white card using burgandy ink. I then used a distress tool to ruff up the edges. I added some gold thread to my background panel and used 3d glue gel to adhere the sentiments, this helps secure the thread.

I tore the edges of the background and added it to a card base using the 3D glue gel, this gets into the nooks and crannys and helps to give a strong bond.

If you'd like to join in with the challenge, you can find all the details at www.paperbabestamps.blogspot.com

Paperbabe Stamps Challenge 119

Good morning all, today we have a new challenge at Paperbabe Stamps, this time round it's a Picture prompt

You can use the picture anyway you like, the colours, the layout etc. Just have some fun and get creative.

I used the colours and flowers to inspire this watercoloured card. I used the Small Rose Layers stamp set to stamp out a whole bakground. I then added watercolour to flowers, i wasn't precious abou the detail as I wanted a slightly distressed look. Once dry I splattered water and white paint over to give a softer feel. I then stamped and heat embossed a sentiment from the Flourish and Grow stamp set onto vellum with gold embossing powder. I added this to some gold mirror card and then to an A2 note card.
