Altenew Love & Friendship Stamps/Dies/Stencils/Embossing Folders Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Welcome to the Altenew Love & Friendship Stamps/Dies/Stencils/Embossing Folders release hop, I am so thrilled to be guest designing for this release and have create several projects to share with you. You should have arrived here from Virginia Lu blog, if not you can start the hop at the beginning by visiting the Altenew Card Blog or navigate using the list of hop participants at the bottom of this post.

You can purchase the new release items right now from the Altenew Store

For this first card I used the Our Friendship Blooms stamp set to stamp 3 of the images, I then used the coordinating simple coloring stencil to add color to the images and die cut them with the Our Friendship Blooms die set. The background was embossed with the Organic Linen Embossing folder.

My second card using the Our Friendship Blooms Stamp set uses the stamp in it's whole form. The card base was adorned with the Slim Deco Cover dies and a sentiment added. I stamped and die cut the image, this time I used the layering stamps rather than the Simple Coloring Stencil for a different look.

I love the possibilities this stamp set gives, stamp layering, stencilling, watercoloring or markers, you really can create so many different looks.

Next we'll take a look at the Queen Anemone stamp set. This stamp set also has a Simple coloring stencil, however I used the layering stamps for both of my samples. I stamped and Die cut the images, keeping to a muted lilac color theme. I added the die cut images to a background panel which I embossed using the Organic Linen Embossing Folder, I added a sentiment using the Block Sentiments.

For my second card using the Queen Anemone Stamp set I decided upon a pastel pink and brown theme. I stamped and Die cut the images using Altenew's Crisp Inks. To create the background I embossed some brown card using the Organic Linen Embossing Folder, I added some shimmery gilding wax to bring out the detail and tone down the harsh brown.

I then cut the Swirl Motif die from a blush pearl effect card and white card, I layered these together and adhered them to the left side of the embossed panel. I added the stamped images and added a sentiment using the Script word dies.

Next I have two cards using the Tall Foliage Stamp set. My first card uses the stamps and matching Die set, I stamped and heat embossed with Altenew's Copper embossing powder onto some vellum, before cutting.

I prepared a slimline card base using some teal ink, I added black die cuts using the Slim Deco cover dies. I heat embossed some card using the Copper embossing powder and cut a sentiment from the Bold Greetings die set. I added the Tall Foliage die cut elements using some glossy accents behind the embossed areas so that it can not be seen.

Working with Pantones 2021 colors, I stamped the Tall Foliage images and added color using the Simple Coloring Stencil. I added some detail in the background with a light inking through the Feeling Dotty Stencil.

Altenew are also releaseing two new Washi tapes this month, this first one is the  Foiled Marble Washi. It has a grey and gold marble pattern. I run a piece of white card through my die cutting machine with the Ornate debossing cover die. I added a piece of the washi to some card and used the Bold Alphabet dies to cut the X's and O's, I cut several from white card also and adhered them together for a faux chipboard effect. I also used a piece of the Golden Edge Washi to underline the sentiment.

My final card uses newly released Red sunset Slim washi set, I added strips of the washi from the top of my card and added some of the Painted Grid Washi tape, I love how they look together. I added a couple of stamped sentiments from the Block sentiment stamp set. A few enamel dots from the Warm and Cosy set finished the look.

The first one was such a surprise taking a long stem bouquet and turning it into such an eyecatching border with that fabulous organic linen embossing. I hadn't paid any attention to the coloring stencils until I read your blog. So great to see different possibilities demonstrated. And the simple washi tape card is so different and so striking. How you combined the painted grid with those lovely sunset colors packs a lot of punch. Thanks for all the inspiration!
