Altenew Build-A-Flower: Bellaroma Hybrid Tea Rose Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello and welcome to the February Build-A-Flower release blog hop, you should have arrived here from Yoonsun Hur, if not you can back to the start of the hop by visiting the Altenew Card Blog

The Build-A-Flower Bellaroma Hybrid Tea Rose is available as a one off purchase, no subscription necessary by visiting this link >>> BAF Bellaroma Hybrid Tea Rose one off purchase However, if you would like to purchase the monthly subscription you can sign up here >>> BAF Monthly plan

I have created 3 cards using this new release, lets take a look

I wanted to keep my first card really simple, I stamped the outline of the flower and leaves in Obsidian ink and then stamped the detailed layers, I chose not to use the base layer as I wanted an edgy look. I used the matching die to cut them. I placed them onto an A2 note card using a piece of black card which was die cut form the Grid cover die, I snipped into it to create a random edge. I added a sentiment from the circled sentiments stamp set.

My second card is a 3.5"x 8.5" slimline card. To create this look I stmped and die cut several flowers and leaves. I laid them out so that they overlapped and used a wet adhesive to stick them together. I then trimmed them down to measure 3"x 8". I added them to a piece of black card measuring 3.25"x 8.25". I them added this to my card blank and added the sentiments. I love the Magenta flowers against the fresh leaf colour I used for the leaves.

My final card is a one layer card and shows how you can use the base layer and detailed layer in different colours to create a fresh tonal look. I choose to stamp direct to card, rather than stamping and die cutting, this meant  I needed to use Altenew's masking sheets so that I could layer one flower in front of another. I added some background detail using the Broken Chevrons Stencil. Lastly I flicked some black ink and added a stamped sentiment.

Your next stop on the hop is Anna Mahtani, but be sure to leave a comment for your chance to win a prize.

  6. Love all the cards; they are all so different. The vibrant colors on the black background slim line card looks completely different from the simple first one and the pastel third example. I want to use your black, magenta and fresh leaf color combo. Thanks for all the inspiration.
