Altenew July 2022 Summer Sunshine Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($300 in total prizes)

Welcome to the Summer Sunshine collection release blog hop and giveaway. I am super excited to be sharing five projects with you! Before we start, lets take care of a little housekeeping, You should have arrived here from Bridget Casey, if not you can go back to the start of the hop by visiting the Altenew Blog.

Today's new release is available to purchase via the Summer Sunshine Collection Page in the Altenew store.

My first card uses four of the new products. I started by stamping the Mosaic Diamonds Stamp Set in pink onto some Neenah Solar crest 80lb cardstock. I then used the Monstera and Quotes Stamp Set to stamp out 5 of the Monstera leaves. I then used the Monstera and Quotes Simple Coloring Stencil to add color. I cut the leaves using the Monstera and Quotes Die Set.

To put the card together I added a torn piece of black card for the leaves to sit on and then stamped a sentiment in black ink at the top of the card.

My next card was really fun to make. I used the Mosaic Diamonds Stamp Set to create a background panel. I then used all of the sentiments from the Monstera and Quotes Stamp Set to stamp over the top. This creates a really fun effect. i torn the right hand edge and matted it onto a black card base.

I added a white heat embossed sentiment on the black edge and then place a floral sprig from the Tropical Jungle Stamp Set which I colored with my artist markers and die cut using the coordinating Die set.

My next two cards feature the Mod Fruit Bowl Stamp Set and Mod Fruit Bowl Die Set. For this card I stamped and die cut some melons and melon wedges, I placed them in a pattern across the middle of a panel, I though it would be fun to nestle the sentiment among the melons.

I added a black mat below the decorated panel. I then added some Brushed Grid Wide Washi to an A2 note card before adding the other layers.

I am so happy with my lemons on this card.  I used the Mod Fruit Bowl Stamp Set and Mod Fruit Bowl Die Set. I added Fresh Lemon ink to the lemon stamp and stamped it once, while still in place on my Misti door I used a finger dauber to add some Honey Drizzle ink to the outer edges, the finger dauber allow you to diffuse the ink so that you achieve a soft blend. I used the same technique for the leaves, this time using Bamboo and Parrot ink.

Here I used the Linear Life: Tropical Garden Hot Foil diesLinear Life:Tropical Garden Stamp Set and Linear Life Tropical Garden Die Set. I hot foil, stamp and then die cut, I find this process order works best for me.

I created a background using the Areca Palm 3D Embossing Folder, I embossed some 110lb white card, added some Bamboo ink to my glass cutting mat and sprtized it water. I then swipped the embossed card through it, this gives a really fun effect. I added a white heat embossed sentiment on to a black die cut, which I cut using the Nesting Slim Labels.
