Altenew June 2022 Fine & Dandy Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($300 in total prizes)

Welcome to the Fine & Dandy collection release blog hop and giveaway. I am so excited to be sharing 5 cards with you today. First off, you should have arrived here from the Altenew Blog, if not you can use the list at the bottom of this post to navigate. 

This release is packed full of goodness, there are stand alone dies, hot foil plates, simple coloring stencils and new brushed metallic cardstock!

Wait, there's more! There is even a project kit, consisting of a 6x8" stamps set, matching die set, coloring stencils and a 3D embossing folder.

My first card uses the new Oriental Poppy project kit. I started by stamping several of the large Poppies from the Oriental Poppy Stamp Set  on to Neenah Solar Crest 80lb Cardstock. I then used the 4 in 1 Coloring Stencil to add color to them. 

Using the coordinating die set I cut them all out and adhered them onto a thick card panel. I trimmed the edges back and created a shaker pocket, which I filled with sequins and glitter. I added this to an A2 card base and used the Fancy Hello die to cut my sentiment in black.

My second card uses the Oriental Poppy 3D embossing folder.  I spritzed some Mullberry paper with water and ran it through my die cutting machine with the embossing folder. I then used watercolor brush markers to add some colour and sprinkled with mica powders. I torn the edges whilst wet so that I got a nice fibrous edge.

Once dry I placed it back in the embossing folder and ran it through once again to make sure the impression was as crisp as possible. I then used a gold pigment ink pad to swipe across the raised areas before stamping a sentiment from the Oriental Poppy Stamp Set. I added the embossed panel to a white A2 notecard.

My next card features the Delightful Flowers Hot Foil Plate. (This Hot Foil Plate does have a coordinating simple coloring stencil but I didn't receive it.)

I hot foiled the Delightful flowers onto white card stock, using Silver foil in my Foilpress hot foil machine. I then used my Altenew Artist Markers to add color. To finish the card I heat embossed a sentiment onto vellum and wrapped it around the foiled panel before adding to an A2 note card.

 

This next card features the Stitched Scalloped Circle Dies and Brushed Rose Metallic Cardstock. I embossed a background using the Motif Tile 3D embossing folder. I added foliage from Branches and Berries die set and a sentiment from the Simple Greetings die set.

My final card uses the Exquisite Marble Hot Foil Plate for the background and the Freesia Hot Foil Plate, Freesia Die and Freesia 2 in 1 simple coloring stencil for the focal images. I added a sentiment using the sentiment banners hot foil plate, coordinating cover die and the Sentiment Strips stamp set.
