Altenew June 2022 Today is the Day Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($300 in total prizes)

Welcome to the June release from Altenew, today's release is all about the Today's is the Day collection. To celebrate we have a fun blog hop and giveaway, filled with lots of crafty inspiration. I have 5 cards using some of the items from the new release, let's take a look...

My first card features the Climbing Leaves Stamp Set. I heat embossed it in Pure Crisp White Embossing Powder onto some Neenah Solar white cardstock and then blended some pink and blue ink over the top. I then used the Climbing Leaves Die Set to cut it out. I added it to a black card base which I had embossed with a sentiment from the Crafty Life Stamp Set.

Next up is the Sentimental Florals Stamp Set. I heat embossed it with Rose Gold Embossing Powder and then colored it using my Woodless Coloring Pencils. I used the Sentimental Florals Die Set to cut it out and adhered it to a die cut panel using silicone glue, before adding to an A2 card base. I added a sentiment to the centre of the card using the same embossing powder. I love how simple and delicate this card looks.

I have to admit that the Floral Henna Stamp Set is my favourite from this release. That's probably why I've made 3 cards using it! In this first example I stamped the image onto Neenah Solar white cardstock, I used the coordinating Simple Coloring Stencil to add color and then cut it out using the Floral Henna Die Set. I wanted to keep this card clean and simple so added a sentiment using the Bold Sentiments Stamp Set and then adhered both elements to an A2 white card, leaving lots of white space.

My second card is a mini Slimline measuring 3x6 inches. I colored the Floral Henna image in the same way as the card above. I then used the colors from the image to add a couple of stamped outlines to the card base, I then added the die cut image using foam tape.I stamped a sentiment using the Bold Sentiments Stamp Set, fussy cut it and added it to the card. I am so pleased with this card, it really makes me smile.

My last card, again uses the Floral Henna Stamp Set. I started by inking a piece of watercolor card using several bright colors. I added a spritz of water and some imky white splatters. When it was dry I then stamped a couple of the Floral Henna images in the corners in black. I then stamped 3 sentiments from the Bold Sentiments Stamp Set, fussy cut them and added them with foam tape. I lastly added a white frame from the Mix and Match Frames Die Set.
