I have cards using each of the subscription sets to share with you, let's start with my favourite...
This card features the
Craft-A-Flower Cape Marguerite. I have to say that I am totally in love with this die set. Altenew have changed the way the dies are manufactured to include each die having a number on it that indents into the die cut so that you know which layer it is. As this set has 2 flowers in it, they've even made it so that each flowers die/die cut is recognisable by either a keyhole or an arrow. This means you collect all the keyhole pieces and layer them in number order and the do the same for the arrow pieces....it's genius!
I started by cutting all of the pieces I required and then ink blending then with a small blending brush. I then added splatters of white ink before adhering the layers together. I added the floral elements to a card that was embossed using the
Dreamy Tiles 3D Embossing Folder, I then completed the card by adding a die cut sentiment from the
Bold Greetings Die Set.
My second card features the
Build-A-Garden Natures Magic set. I stamped the images in black ink onto Neenah Solar crest cardstock. i then used my Altenew Artist Markers to add color. I then die cut them using the coordinating die set.
The background was created by stamping the left hand side of the card with green ink using the
Wood Pallet stamp set. I then added a strip of black card before adhering the flowers. Lastly I added a stamped sentiment.
Next up is the
Paint-A-Flower Flowering Dogwood. I stamped the large floral image onto some smooth white card and used my
Woodless Coloring Pencils to add color. I then die cut the left hand side of the panel using the
Creative Edges Lace Die. I added the die cut panel to a piece of pink card before adhering it to an A2 white card. A quick stamped sentiment and a few dew drops and the card was complete.
I embossed a piece of white card and then added lots of bright fun colours. I flicked some white ink and then mounted the panel on to black card. My two stamped "Hip Hip" words were mounted onto a black blank layer which was cut using the coordinating die. I added a drop shadow so that they stood out form the background. I then stamped and die cut the "Hooray!" and added it using foam tape.
The last subscription product is the
Craft-Your-Life Silk Art project kit. I made two cards using this kit. The first card is an edge to edge shaker card. I used the layering stencil set to ink the in=mage onto white card. I then die cut it before using the 3D embossing folder to add the beautiful embossed detail.
This last card was something I came up with whilst just playing around. I added the stamp to the door of my Misti and placed a piece of water colour card inside. I then used my waterbrush markers to add colour to the flowers, I then spritzed the stamp with water and closed the Misti door, making an impression on the card. I did the same to color the leaves.
Once dry I used the stamp (still in the original position) to clear heat emboss over the top. This lock the inked image safely away allowing me to add a background. I added water to the background and then dropped in black ink and sprinkled with rock salt.
Once dry I brushed off the salt. I then placed two sheets of printer paper over the clear embossed area and used my Iron to rub over the top. The heat melts the embossing powder and the printer paper sucks it up. You can then use the printer paper for another project! I added a two part sentiment to finish the look.
