Welcome to the Spring Garden release blog hop and giveaway. You should have arrived here from
Cheryl Espie, if not you can go back to the start of the hop by visiting the
Altenew Card Blog
I am so excited to be sharing 7 cards with you made with this new release. The release is jam packed full of Stamps, Dies, Hot Foil Plates, Simple Coloring Stencils, Embossing folders and new Adhesive rolls in various widths.
Lets take a look at my cards, you may want to grab a drink...
My first card features the
Vibrant Florals Hot Foil Plate, I foiled in gold onto smooth 300gsm cardstock. I use a Foilpress and find the best settings for my Altenew Hot Foil Plates is on a low heat, this particular plate I heated for 30 seconds.
Top Tip -Once you find the best setting for a Hot Foil Plate, write the recipe onto a post it note and add it to the packaging for next time. My recipie for this card was; Foilpress - 300gsm - low heat- 30 seconds- Foilpress foil
If I use another brand of foil or different card, I make a note of that too, there is no way my brain could remember all the combinations!
This next card uses the new
Itty Bitty Branches die set cut from hot pink and turquoise. I foiled a piece of black card with silver foil using the new
Chevron Background Hot Foil Plate. My cardstock was only 200gsm so I added another piece of card as a shim and heated for 45 seconds on low. Sometimes you can experience overfoiling in areas, to tidy this up I use an adhesive remover/eraser tool to gently rub over the areas and it picks up the foil. I added a sentiment using the
Sentiment Strips 2 stamp set.
I am loving the new
Wonderfully Made sentiment die, here I added it to a card made using the
Chevron Background Hot Foil Plate and
Mega Stamp Frames die set, which is adhered to a card that was embossed with the
Flower Bed 3D embossing folder.
