My first card using the CYL Garden Rose project kit uses the 3D embossing folder. I embossed a piece of solar crest card and used my mini bending brushes to add inks. I used Mountain Mist, Citrus Burst and Frosty Pink. I love how the peachy tone appears when the yellow and pink inks blend. I added a die cut sentiment using the
Simple Friend die
This next card was all about the stencils in the kit, using them to create a background, sentiment and add colour to the flower. I kept the colour pallet the same as in my previous card as I like to create sets when working with kits like this. I used the die set to cut the Rose and leaves which I added using Altenew's instant dimension foam tape.
This card was easy to create, I used some masking paper in order to be able to get the leaves looking like they are tucked in behind the Rose. I added colour with the stencil in the kit. As I moved my stencil I somehow managed to put a yellow smudge on the card, I admit at first I was annoyed and in a panic I decided to add more smudges and I'm actually happy with how it worked out. I added the sentiment using the stencil, first in Frosty pink and the moving the stencil slightly to add a drop shadow effect I used the Dew Drops ink.
The final card int he set uses the embossing folder for the background, once embossed I swiped the Frosty Pink ink pad lightly over the surface just catching the highest points. I added some stamped, stencilled and die cut flowers and leaves with foam tape. I heat embossed the sentiments in white on to the
Featured Sentiments dies.

ReplyDeleteGreat combination of colors. I love that you took lemons and made lemonade! I would have never known If you hadn't said so, but kudos to you, because I would have been trying to get it out with my mono eraser! Ha. I have been trying to go over the embossed backgrounds lightly and I guess this cant be done with the mini cubes because I botched it up. I will keep practicing because that made a stunning backdrop.
