Altenew Paint-A-Flower: Camellia Outline Stamp Set Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

I have created to very different cards with the new PAF Camellia, lets take a closer look.


I wanted to keep this first card really clean and fresh, so I stamped the Camellia twice on the left hand side of the card. I made sure to have it going of the card slightly as I really like this look. I used my Altenew Artist markers to colour the flowers, leaves and berries. I kept the colouring really simple as the image lends itself to that style. Lastly I added a sentiment from the PAF stamp set, I love how thin the font is, it's really delicate and feminine.

Now onto my second card, I'm calling this the Vintage Faux enamel technique.


Working on a textured water colour card stock, I stamped the image 3 times in a triangular formation using a brown water proof ink. I then used Altenew's waterbrush markers to add colour to the image, note I was really rough and intended for the colouring to look hit and miss, this all adds to the finished look.


Once completely dry I used my Altenew clear embossing ink to ink across the whole page, I then added a coating of clear embossing powder and heat set with my heat tool. I heated from the top as I find this gives a more textured result, once cool I took a brown ink and belnding brush and added ink over the whole embossed piece. As I used a textured watercolour card the embossing powder and ink couldn't reach all of the lower dipped areas, this means that the ink can reach the card and leaves little brown areas. I then buffed the excess ink that sits on top of the embossed area with a dry baby wipe. I love the effect all those little brown speckles and dips in the card give, it reminds me of a vintage enamelled surface.
