Welcome to the January Craft-A-Flower release blog hop and giveaway. You should have arrived here from Erum Tasneem If not you can go back to the start of the hop at any time by visiting the Altenew card blog .
This months Craft-A-Flower is the stunning Morning Glory, this die set consists of 9 dies which when layered create the most beautiful flowers.
My first card is 6x6" square card, I don't often make anything other than A2 note cards but the Morning Glory really lends itself to bigger cards. I used Altenew's Gradient Cardstock in Cosmos and Green Fields along with their Double sided Adhesive sheets to cut all of the layers.
Before adding the floral elements to my card I used the Moulded Lines Stencil and some light blue ink to add some background detail.
The flowers in my second card were made in the same way as the first card, for the background I used light blue ink to create a soft background and added a piece of the Crateive cutouts Moroccan Mosaic to give the impression of a trellis.
As with all of Altenew's Craft-A-Flower die sets you could use any colour or medium to colour the flowers. Ink blending works beautifully as does using Alcohol markers. You can purchase the Morning Glory as a bundle with Altenew's Gradient cardstock and recieve a 5% discount.
Your next stop on the hop is Laurie Willison
