Altenew Craft-A-Flower: Snowdrops Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello and welcome to the December Craft-A-Flower Snowdrops release blog hop and giveaway. You should have arrived here from Dana Joy., if not you can go back to the start of the hop at anytime by visiting the Altenew card blog. I have two cards to share with you today using the new CAF Snowdrops so let take a look.

My first card is a uses the Circle Quilt Cove Die for the background. I cut it from white Neenah card stock and coloured it using a light blue ink and blending brush. I like colouring after cutting as the ink catches the edges of the cut areas and adds more depth.

I cut the snowdrops again using Neenah cardstock and coloured the leaves using green ink, the flower heads were left white and shaped a little using a ball tool. My sentiments is from the Label Love stamp set. I added some black twine to complement the sentiment and this card was done.

Now onto my second card;

The snowdrops were cut and coloured in the same way as the first card. I wanted to give this card a bold modern backdrop so I started by cutting the Window sphere die into some white card. I embossed and inked a piece of card using the Geo Steps 3D embossing folder.

Following the embossed lines, I trimmed the embossed panel down and added it to my card. Using some foam pads I paced the snowdrops in position and used a small screw punch to make holes ether side of the stems, this allowed me to thread twine through and tie a bow around my flowers. I added a stamped sentiment form the Circled Sentiments set. I then added this to a black card.

I hope you like the cards, please leave a comment below for your chance to win one of the prizes.

If you are purchasing the CAF Snowdrops maybe consider the Craft-A-Flower: Snowdrops Layering Die Set & Gradient Cardstock Bundle its the perfect pairing which allows you to create your flowers with ease.
