Hello and welcome to the Altenew Educator blog hop, our theme this time is Floral with Geometric elements. You should have arrived here from Teri Wilson blog, if not you can go back to the start of the hop at any time by visiting the Altenew card blog.
I have two cards to share with you today so let jump in and take a look.
To create this card I started by using the Trigonometry stamp set to stamp my geometric elements in the background, I choose to use a light pink ink. I then stamped my flower and leaves using the Hope stamp and cut if using the matching die set.
I think this card shows just how well Floral images and Geometric elements can go together, I tend to use geometric images for male cards but going forward I will certainly use the for more occasions.
My second card uses a geometric stencil, I used the Linear stencil and some light pink ink and blending brush to add detail to the background, I like how the soft pink faces out towards the top of the card.
I used the Tranquillity Rose stamp and die set to create the floral image, instead of colouring in the traditional way I used the coordinating Simple coloring stencil. The simple coloring stencil is a great way to add color and shading if you're not confident or if you're pushed for time. For me personally I love the graphic effect it give.
