Altenew Build-A-Flower: Build-A-Flower: Parrot Tulips Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello and Welcome to the December Build a Flower release blog hop and giveaway. I am thrilled to be joining Altenew as a guest for this release. You should have arrived here from the Altenew card blog, you can revisit the Altenew blog at any time by clicking here https://wp.me/p6Dps1-cEZ

Today I am sharing 3 cards created with the Build a Flower Parrot Tulips. Lets jump in and take a look.

As the Parrot tulips are so detailed I decided to keep this card very clean and simple. I stamped the flowers onto Neenah cardstock and die cut them using the coordinating dies. The background was embossed using the Geo Steps embossing folder. The sentiment was white heat embossed onto black card for a modern look.

My second card is a slimline card, they seem to be gaining in popularity at the moment so I'm making them more often to show how Altenew products are perfectly suited to this size.  This time I decided to go straight to card with the stamps rather than die cutting, of course it took a little masking but it's well worth it.

My top tip here it to always cut your masking sheet inside the stamped line otherwise you will end up with misplaced stamping and white areas. However if you have Altenew's Artist markers in the same shade as your ink pads then you can do a little patching and nobody will ever know!

For my final card I chose to use a vivid colour pallet of blues and lime greens. I felt that the background needed interest so used the Baroque Motif stamped in light grey ink. This card is so far from my colour and style but there is something about it that I really do like.

Hopefully I have given you a little inspiration, if you do wish to order, perhaps you would consider the monthly subscription plan.
