Hello and welcome to Altenew's May Paint-A-Flower release blog hop and giveaway. You should have arrived here from Amy Hill, if not you can go back to the start of the hop by visiting the Altenew Card Blog, or by using the links at the bottom of this post to navigate.
This months PAF is the Magnolia Rustica Rubra. The stamp set consist of a large outline image, perfect for coloring with your favourite medium. There are also six sentiment stamps which you can pick and mix to suit the occasion or recipient.
To create my card I stamped and heat embossed the Magnolia Rustica Rubra onto a piece of patterned paper from the Gel Printing:Soft Washes 6x6 paper pack. I heat embossed using Altenew's Pure White Crisp Embossing powder and embossing ink.
I used some of my Altenew Artist markers to add some dotted detail to the flowers. I chose colors that were as close to the paper color as possible. I then fussy cut the image.
To create the background I embossed a piece of card with the Geo Steps 3D embossing folder. I wrapped some thin black twine around the embossed panel and secure at the back using wahsi tape. I then adhered this to an A2 notecard.
I stamped a sentiment from the Magnolia Rustic Rubra on to a banner die cut and added some faux stitching with a fine liner. I then added to sentiment banner and flower using foam tape.
The Paint-A-Flower is available as a monthly subscription, saving you money and giving you early access to the product before it is available in store. You can subscribe here PAF Monthly Subscription sign up
