Altenew Build-A-Flower: Indian Lotus Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Welcome to the May Build-A-Flower release blog hop and giveaway. You should have arrived here from Teresa Litchfield, if not you can go back to the start of the hop at anytime by visiting the Altenew Card Blog or alternatively you can navigate using the links at the bottom of this post.
The BAF Indian Lotus is a layered stamp set and coordinating die set. The layers create a stunning realistic Lotus flower and leaf. There are 8 sentiments that can be mixed and matched to create the perfect sentiment for your project.

I have created 3 card using the layers indifferent ways to create looks, lets take a closer look.

In my first sample project I used all of the layers from the Lotus and Leaf to create a realistic image, I teamed it up with the Painted Grid Washi tape and some inky splatters.

For this next card I used the outline and last detailed layer to give a more stylised look. I sat the images against a cover die background using the Stacked Diamonds cover plate, I added double sided adhesive to my pink card blank, placed the die cut panel on top and pieced some on the cut out back in. I then sprinkled clear glitter over the surface. I love how this gives a pink sparkle look.

For my final sample I used only the last layer of the Lotus flower, I stamped it several times over a piece of white card, making sure to turn the stamp and go off the edges to give the look of having used patterned paper. I torn the edge and adhered it to a black card base. I added a sentiment and a few sequins to finish the look.

  1. All of your cards are beautiful (I bet the diecut one with pink glitter is fabulous in real life), but my favorite is the pink flowers all around the background on the black...maybe it's the torn edge I love?

  6. All three cards are so very pretty. Love the structure of the lotus with the wonky grid, love the diamond background (and seeing it in action, hadn't seen that background before), like seeing a layer of the lotus used for your all over background and the black and pink. Cool!
