Altenew Whimsical Wonder Stamps/Dies/Stencils/Embossing Folders Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Welcome to the April Altenew Whimsical Wonder release blog hop and giveaway, you should have arrived here from Laurie Willison if not you can go back to the start of the hop at any time by visiting  The Altenew Card Blog or you can use the links at the end of this post to navigate your way around.

As you can see from the graphic above this release is jam packed with creative goodness, stamps, dies, stencils, embossing folders and so much more. I was so inspired by all of the new items that I created 9 projects for the release, let's take a look at what I made.

My first card uses the Bouquet of Love stamp set and Bouquet of Love die set. I coloured the image using Artist markers set D and Set G. I added a sentiment from the Folk Art stamp set.

My second card featuring the Bouquet of Love stamp set is heat embossed and ink blended. I love the versatility of this stamp set. It looks great as an outline image or coloured.

Using the Folk Art stamp set, I heat embossed the image and used the Folk Art die set to cut it out. I then used Watercolour brush markers to add colour to the images. I placed the die cut piece onto a brown card base using foam pads and added the sentiment strip.

My second card using the Folk Art stamp set involved some masking. I started by stamping and colouring the image with Artist markers set D and Set G. I then used the Folk Art die set to cut some Altenew Masking sheets and applied it to the image. I then used a blue ink to ink blend over the whole panel. Using the die to cut a mask leaves a white halo around the images which is what I was looking for.

Next up is the Tea for Two stamp set and Tea for Two die set. I stamped, cut and coloured the images. I added them to a card base which I prepared using the Enchanting vines 3D Embossing folder.

The Tie Dye Motifs stamp set is a really fun set, it allows you to build your won Tie Dye patterns. I teamed it up with the Fine Alphabet dies and a sentiment from the Folk Art stamp set.

Altenew has released dies to match some of their layered floral stencils. Here I used the Meadow Bush layering stencil and Meadow Bush die set to create a floral swag for my card. I added it to a card base that I prepared using the Dotted Swirls debossing cover die. The sentiment is from the Folk Art stamp set.

Here I used the Hill Blossoms Stencil and Hill Blossoms Die set to create the floral image. I added it to a panel which was embossed with the Storybook embossing folder, I used the Detailed Blending Brushes to add colour to the frame. I added a sentiment from the Bouquet of Love stamp set.

My final card uses the Flower Bunch stencil set and Flower Bunch die set. I love that the die set allows you to cut the flower heads so that you can layer them up. I used the Organic Linen embossing folder to create a card base for the die cut pieces to sit against.
