Welcome to the March Stamps/Dies/Stencils/Embossing Folders release from Altenew. You should have arrived here from Lilith Eeckels if not you can go back to the start of the hop at any times by visiting the Altenew Card Blog
This release is jam packed full of crafty goodness, 10 stamp sets, 2 stand alone dies, 4 simple coloring stencils, 8 embossing folders, a new layered stencil, 2 new Washi tapes, detailed blending brushes and a decal set. The new release is in store and ready to purchase https://bit.ly/3v9yUKq
I have created 7 projects with items from the new release, so lets take a look!
My first project is a bookmark. I cut the bookmark using the Tall Tale Bookmark. I then stamped the Whimsical Herringbone pattern in lilac ink over the bookmark. I stamped and colored my chosen images from the Tall Tale stamp set. I used some of Altenew's Masking Sheets to help cretae a scene with the girl sat on top of the books.
My next project is a landscape A2 note card using the Tall Tale stamp and Die set. I stamped, colored and cut the images and added them to the card base which I stencilled using the Cloud Scene Stencil. The sentiment is from the Tall Tale stamp set.
I created a second bookmark again using the Tall Tale bookmark. I ink blended the background in orange tones and then stamped and heat embossed the floral images using the Fairy Take Floral stamp. set I added golden leaves and petals with metallic watercolor paint. A sentiment and a few inky splatters finished the look.
This next card is a favourite of mine. I stamped and heat embossed lots of the small images from the Books are magic stamp set and then ink blended a purple background over the top. I heat embossed the large pile of book onto white card and die cut them. I added them to the card using foam tape. A sentiment and lots of white ink splatters to finish the card.
My final card is an ink blended, heat embossed A2 note card. I heat embossed the Fairy Tale Floral images onto my card base. I then ink blended blue waterbased ink over the surface. I then used the detailed layers and a damp sponge to add detail to the leaves and petals. My tip here is to use a stamping platform as you can repeat the fax bleaching process until you achieve the desired look. I line up the detailed stamp, close the door to the stamping platform to pick up the stamp and then dab the stamp with the damp sponge, you can use some clean kitchen paper to blot the ink away. I also flicked some water at the card and dabbed off the excess to achieve lighter inky splatters.
