I have created two card using the PAF Coral Sunset, let's take a closer look
My first card uses lots of ink blending, heat embossing and resist techniques. I started by white heat embossing the image onto Bristol cardstock using Altenew's white embossing powder. I then ink blended shades of orange, darker at the outside getting lighter towards the centre.
I heat set the ink and then flicked some Distress resist spray over the surface. Once dry I inked a second time, this gives a slight variation in colour where the resist spray is. I added a sentiment from the Bold Sentiment die set, I cut it from gold mirror card. I added the inked panel to an A2 note card which I debossed using the Dotted Starburst debossing cover die.
My second card is a simple watercolour card,I stamped the image onto watercolour card using Altenew's Obsidian Ink I coloured the image with Altenew's 36 pan watercolour palette. I then fussy cut the image.
I added the cut image to a panel which was debossed with the Dotted Swirls debossing cover die, I added this to a light blue card and then mounted it onto a white A2 notecard. The sentiment was cut using the Essential sentiment strip dies.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards!
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are beautiful and look so different from eachother, you wouldn't know they were the same stamp set.
ReplyDeleteThe Obsidian black ink looks so different on each flower of the second card. When I looked at first, I thought you had used a different ink for each card. I guess the watercolors made the changes. I like how you added the blue/green around the cut out flowers to give some depth and bring out the light blue/green card.
ReplyDeleteLove both of your cards!! The ink blending and colours on the first one are striking!
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are so pretty. I like the simplicity of the first card (I can do that!) but your 2nd card is my favorite. The details of the stamp are so amazing and your coloring brings to mind a real bouquet.
ReplyDeleteBoth are lovely. I liked the idea of resist embossing and also coloring around the edge of the fussy cut.
ReplyDeleteBoth of the cards are awesome. Love the resist spray on the first card.
ReplyDeleteNice ideas for the set Great backgrounds.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! The colors are so vibrant and warm, and love how the blended technique creates such a lovely background!
