To watercolor I used Altenew's 36 pan watercolor set. I used a combination of the new brushes, this was my first time using both the brushes and Watercolor book.

I found that the surface of the watercolor car held up really well, I could add lots of water without any deterioration of the surface and I could also leave highly pigmented areas and comeback hours later and add more water without and color stain.

For this second image I used a wet in wet technique and found that the water held really well, I painted each petal with clean water and then dabbed in several colors and let them mottle.

I would recommend the Watercolor book for anyone who is wanting to try watercolor for the first time. The images in the book come from previously released Altenew stamp sets so you can find lots of ideas for colors and shading on the internet to help you get started.

If you're a seasoned pro then you will love the surface and the new brushes feel so comfortable to use.

Your next stop on the  hop is Nathalie DeSousa, before you leave make sure to check out the offers and giveaway information below.
