Hello and Welcome to the Altenew Bursting with Creativity blog hop, today Altenew are releasing 9 new dies and a couple of brand new product lines. Masking sheets and Double sided adhesive sheets, these will surely help us to create so many beautiful cards.
You should have arrived here from the the totally awesome Erum Tasneem if not please don't worry you can go back to the start of the hop by visiting the Altenew card blog, you will also find a list of all the hop participants at the bottom of this post.
My second card uses the
Layered Wood Flower die set, I kept the pallet simple with blue and grey tones on a Kraft background. I love the simple and naturalistic feel to this card, it allows the floral image to take centre stage.
Moving on to my more colorful samples, I created a slimline card using the
Floral Doodles die set. I cut the Floral doodles form black card and adhered them tot he edge of my card, I colored the images with Altenew's artist markers. I felt the right hand edge of the card needed detail so used the
Creative Edges: Scalloped Scallops die.
For my next slimline card I used the
Dotted lines cover die to create a detailed background for the
Just Leaves die cut to sit against. I love the addition of the Delicate stripes washi tape at the top and bottom of the card, it really brings everything together.
For my final card featuring dies I used the
Woven heart die. I actually added washi tape to vellum before die cutting, this allowed the pieces to move more easily as they are thinner. I sat the woven heart against a black strip of card which was edged using the
Creative Edges:Scalloped Scallop die
I also wanted to share a quick card I made with the help of the new Masking sheets
Not only are the masking sheets thin enough that you can get a perfect masked layered stamping but they protect your image from inks and other mediums. These sheets are so good that I trusted them to protect my white flowers while I ink sprayed over the top, take a close look, not one ink drop penetrated it. I have used multiple masking sheets in the past and have had so many occasions where the ink has leaked through and ruined my project...not any more!
The double sided adhesive sheets are not only great for adding to the back of card to die cut from but also for die cutting images which you can then add different materials/mediums to. Think about all those glitters, flocking powders or foils you have in your craft stash...
This glitter was sprinkled on top of the sticky surface and brushed several times, the only glitter that isn't were it should be came from my hands, you know how glitter loves to get everywhere lol
Your next stop on the hop is
