Altenew Educators "Style it with Stencils" Blog Hop and Linky Party + Giveaway

Welcome to the Altenew Educator Style it with Stencils Blog Hop. You should have arrived here form Rachael Shedeed's blog. Today I am sharing 3 cards which show how to create stylish cards using Altenew's Stencils.

I love stencils and how versatile they are, you can use them in so many ways, as the focal point or to create backgrounds etc. Todays cards use stencis to create bold impactful backgrounds that stand out.

For those of you who prefer video content, I have prepared a video which has been uploaded to my Youtube Channel;

For those who prefer written posts, Here is the information for how my cards were made.

In this first card I use Altenew's Linear Stencil Rubellite InkMidnight Violet Ink and Aqualicious Ink to create a background. I add a sentiment using the Mega A die Fine Alphabet dies.

I decided to ink blend in a radial pattern, allowing the ink colours to overlap and create secondary tones. The sentiment is just as bold as the background, I cut letters from both white and black card to create a drop shadow effect.

My second card uses On the plus side stencilRubellite InkMidnight Violet Ink and Aqualicious Ink to create a cool background effect. The floral image is from the Courageous You stamp set and the sentiment is from the Bold greetings die set

I ink blended thruogh the stencil with the three ink colours and then added some white ink splatter for added interest. I stamped the floral image int o white card using Obsidian Black Ink. The sentiment was cut three times from black card and sandwhiched together to create a faux chipboard effect.

My final card was created with the Confetti Stencil Rubellite InkMidnight Violet Ink and Aqualicious Ink. the sentiment is from the Bold Alpha Dies.

After inking the background, I cut the "X's" and "O's" from white card and also card I had ink blended. I samdwhiched them together and added some foam pads to the reverse. Using some black twine I create a little swirly pattern and then stuck the die cut pieces over the top. I added a few enamel dots to finish the look.

Your next stop on the hop is the awesome Rosie Neustaedter.
