Today's release is packed full of crafty goodness, Stamps, dies, stencils, sequinns and a stamping mat... You can shop the release here >>>Make a statement release
I love being able to layer die cut pieces to create drop shadows and new looks, so for this card I cut the cover die twice, once in white and once in teal. I then layered them with a slight drop shadow, this give depth and interest, I then snipped into it to take out a circular area. I placed some of the stars into that area using purple, pink and teal card. I added a sentimetn using the new Strip Sentiments 2 stamp set.
Paper piecing is another way to get more from your dies, I chose to cut the Radial Stard Cover die in white, pink and Teal, using the white piece I added it to an A2 note card and started adding the stars back in, the easiest way to do this is to use double sided adhesive sheets under the die cut panel. Using some of the Teal and Pink stars I created a circular area to highlight where the sentiment sits. The snetiment was stamped using the Sentiment Strips 2 stamp set, which I heat embossed in white onto the teal cardstock.
Remember in the first card I where snipped out a section of the die cut panel? Well in this card I use it as an embellishment. Firstly I used the new Confetti Stencil along with some texture gel and irridecent glitter to create the background on black card. I love how irridecent glitter looks different depending on the background it sits against. Once dry I addded the piece snipped from the Radial Stars cover die and then placed a sentiment on top. Such a fun card.
I think this card is my favourite from all I've made from this release. It's so fun, bright and happy. I started by creating a background with the Mixed Sprinkles Stencil, I inked 3 times using Pink Yellow and Teal ink, on the last inking of the teal I kept the stencil in place and added some glitter gel.
I stamped and coloured 2 cupcakes from the Way Too Sweet Stamp Set and coloured them and added some glitter to the frosting. I then fussy cut them and set them aside. The HBD was cut using the Fine Alphabet Die Set, before cutting them I inked 3 scraps of card using the same colours as the background. I cut several more HBD from white card so that I could stack them together to create faux chipboard letters. The "Celebrating you today" sentiment is from the Strip Sentiments 2 stmap set. I really do love this card.
My next card brings together an older stamp set and a new stencil. I used the Patchwork kite Stencil and some pink ink to create the background, I then stamped and cut the fox using the Huug Me Stamp Set and Hug Me Die Set, I added a sentiment using the Sentiment Strips 2 stmap set and sprinkled and few Satin Gold Sequins for the finishing touch.
Who doesn't love a rainbow? The Over The Rainbow Stencil is such a cute design. The intersections are very fine so I reccoment using a stencil spray adhesive so that they dont more when you are using it. I started by adding some of Altenew's Embossing paste through the stencl (making sure to mask off where I didn't want paste). I removed the stencil and left it to dry. Once dry I added colour to each section using a small eyeshadow brush. I love that you have colour and diemtnion too.
I just love using glitter gel with stencils as you've probably wored out by now. For this card I used the Confetti Stencil, I started by inking a piece of white card with a creamy pigment ink, I did this because when you add the glitter gel over the top it create a lighter, more vibrant shade. I decided to keep the card clean and minimalby cutting the backgeound panel on a diagonal and adding a senitment on a black strip.
Present stamps are such a usfeul thing to have in your crafty stash, the Piles of Presents Stamp Set is a great set, it has a base layer, detail layer, ribbon and bow in several sizes and styles. I used it here along with the Piles of Presents Mask to create a layerd look.
Using the Piles of Presents die set I cut several presents from the Verdant Walk Paper Pack, I then used the Piles of Presents Stamps to add heat embossed ribbons and bows. I added the presents to a white panel which was then added to a piece of Verdant Walk paper with foam tape. I think this card looks stuning, very boutique....
Next up is a floral card, I create this card using the Just Jasmine Stamp set and Matching die set. I started by inking the background of an A2 notecard using the Patchwork Kite Stencil and some blue ink. I stamped and die cut 2 of the Jasmine Sprigs and adde them to the card using 3D glue gel. I added a seniment in black and sprinkled a few Satin White Sequins.
My second card using the Just Jasmine Stamp Set is a real contrast from the last, I opted for natural tones, I cut an A2 note card from NeeNah Desert Strom card stock as it has a soft kraft colour and a silky surface. I added a piece of Golden Strokes Washi to the card for my Jasmine to sit over, I stamaped the sentiment in a soft brown ink and scattered some of the Antique Gold Sequins.
My final card was stamped using the Envelope Art Stamp Set, as soon as I saw it I had this card planned and stored in my head. I started by stamping the banner, you an have as many sections as you like but I opted for 3 to add my sentiments. I cut a mask using Gina K's Masking Magic sheets, these sheets are awesome as you can stamp over them time and time again and the ink wont seep through to your card. I used the Garden Treaure Stamp set to stamp lots of beautiful blooms. I added 3 sentiments from the Strip Sentiments 2 set and a few Satin White Sequins.
There you have it 12 card made with the new release. Your next stop on the hop is Laura Bassen.
