Altenew Build-A-Flower: Wild Rose Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($200 in total prizes)

Welcome to the September Build-A-Flower release blog hop and giveaway, you should have arrived here from Jenny Colacicco, if not you can go back to the start of the hop at any time by visiting the Altenew Card Blog.

Introducing the Build-A-Flower Wild Rose
If you're a lover of wild roses, this set will hit the mark! This stamp set features a beautiful wild rose with cupped semi-double flowers. The flower image includes an outline layer and three coloring layers for the petals and the stamens. There is also has a branch bearing five leaves with an outline layer and three coloring layers. Eight uplifting sentiments and a couple of mini flower clusters finish off the set.

This stamp set feels like home to me, it's style is the exact style that made me fall in love with Altenew all those years ago. I love the stunning realistic flower. I used inks from the Tea Party Oval Ink Pads for the flower and Forest Glades Ink pads for the leaves.

I die cut the images and added them to an A2 notecard which I prepared using the Moroccan Lattice Cover Die which I cut from black cardstck. I added a stamped sentiment and a few enamel hearts from  the Tea Party Enamel Dots.

As you've probably noticed by now, I love to juxtapose Delicate floral images with bold black elements.

In my first card sample I decided to keep things super clean and simple, I stamped one of the flowers and just two leaves. I added ink splatters to the background and added a stamped black sentiment. I love a car with lots of white space and this feels so fresh.
In this second sample I stamped the flowers in blues and added brown leaves for a fun contrast. I added them to an embossed card panel using the Illusion Triangles Embossing Folder, I heat embossed a sentiment in white onto black card and added a few enamel dots to finish.
My final card features just one of the Fashion Monger Dahlia flowers, I cut the leaves from Vellum and texture to them using an embossing folder. I prepared my A2 notecard using a die cut which I cut in black form the Floral Lace die. I stamped a sentiment and added a pink enamel heart.

Altenew Build-A-Flower: Hawaiian Coral Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Today we are celebrating the release of the BAF Hawaiian Coral stamp and die set. You should have arrived here from Nenette S. Madero blog.  If not, dont worry you can go back to the begining of the hop at any time by visiting this link Altenew Card Blog

You can purchase the Build a Flower: Hawaiian Coral now or subscribe to the BAF Monthly Subscription plan

I have created 3 cards for the release hop, so lets jump right in and take a look.

I stamped the flowers using the Sugar Plums Ink collection, the leaves using the Tranquility ink colloection, the centre of the flower was stamped using Fall Harvest ink collection.

I added the stamped and die cut images to a background panel which I debossed using the Dotted swirls debossing cover die. I added a few inky splatter and some gold twine to embellish.

My second card is a more modern and feminine card. I stamped the images using the Spring Bouquet ink collection. I added a strip of paper from the Verdant Walk paper pack to the left and a strip of pink card just poking out from underneath.

Once again I added some inky splatters and also some Enamel dots. I love the fresh look to this card and how realistic the shading is on the flowers, yet again Altenew knock it out of the park.

For  my final card I opted for blue tones. I used the Deep Blue Seas oval inks and the Tropical Forest mini cubes.

The background was created using the Hand drawn tile stencil and some blue ink.  I added my silver heat embossed sentiment to the Featured sentiment die cut, and added some silver twine under the flowers.
