Altenew February 2022 Flowers & Swirls Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($300 in total prizes)

The Flowers and swirls release is full of stunning products, stand alone dies and The Magnolia Ballerina collection, which consists of a 6x8" stamp set, dies, embossing folder and simple coloring stencil.

This post is going to focus on the Starlight Die set, I have made cards with other products from the collection which I will share on social media but for now lets take a look at the Starlight die projects.

I created 3 cards using the Starlight die set, Dotted Tile debossing cover die and the Fancy Kisses sentiment die. I used 3 colours of card all backed with Altenew's double sided adhesive sheets to help speed up the paper piecing process.

The first card uses Teal card as a backdrop, debossed with the Dotted Tile cover die. I used the base plate die from the Starlight set to cut a white base, I then added the purple outline and started to piece the cut sections to achieve my desired look.

Once I was happy with the look,  I added a few AB gems and added the Starlight to my backdrop, I then cut the Fancy Kisses from a hot pink card and also silver mirror card before dding them to the card with a drop shadow.

This next card was made in the same way, I just changed up the colours. I had cut the Starlight die from Purple, Hot Pink and Teal. I then separated them into little dishes to make it easier to find the pieces I needed.

Last up is the Purple version, Keeping the colour palette the same throughout makes the 3 cards works beautifully as a set.
