Altenew Dreamy Bouquet Fabric Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($300 in total prizes)

Welcome to the Dreamy Bouquet Fabric Release blog hop and giveaway, you should have arrived from Bridget Casey, if not you can go back to the start of the hop at any time by visiting the Altenew Card Blog.

The Dreamy Bouquet Fabric collection is available here -Dreamy Bouquet Fabric Collection

I have made 3 items using the new fabric, I should tell you that I am a novice when it comes to sewing so my projects are simple, lets take a closer look.

My daughter is a fashion student so we were very excited about this fabric arriving at our house. The quality is very good and the pattern and colors are beautiful. The first project I set about completing was to create a pin cushion wrist band.

I used two of the fabrics one for the top pin cushion and another for the elasticated wrist band. There are lots of tutorials online with details of how to make this style so I won't be adding that information here.

Next I made some pattern weights, these are really easy to make, I opted for pyramid shaped one and utilised the ribbon that came around the fabric bundle, how cute do they look?

Here you can see the pin cushion and fabric weights in action. I gifted them to my daughter for use in her college work. They have come in very handy.

After warming up with 2 simpler projects, I felt a little more confident and decided to make a removable cushion cover using 4 of the fabrics.

I used some of the left over ribbon to add a little tag on the cushion with the Altenew logo, it really does look rather professional.

I wanted the cover to be removable but at the same time keep it's shape, so I added an invisible zip.
