Altenew Craft Your Life Project Kit: Never Stop Dreaming Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($300 in total prizes)

Welcome to the February Craft-Your-Life release blog hop and giveaway. You should have arrived here from Nathalie DeSousa, if not you can go back to the start of the hop by visiting the Altenew Card Blog or navigate using the links at the end of this post.

This months collection is called Craft-Your-Life:Never Stop Dreaming. It is a stunning collection featuring a 6x8 stamp set, coordinating dies, stencil set and 3D embossing folder.

This stamp set features a stunning arrangement of flowers, leaves, and a sweet little bud. Color it in with your favorite mediums, with or without the help of the coordinating Simple Coloring Stencil. The sentiments offer words of encouragement and can be mixed and matched for the perfect message. Use the other elements included in the project kit to complete the look - we can't wait to see what you create!

My first card uses the 3D embossing folder, I embossed some 110lb Neenah solar crest cardstock, my tip here is to spritz both sides of the card with water before embossing, this softens the fibres of the paper allowing them to be manipulated more easily, therefore giving a deeper emboss.

I ink blended with red ink and flicked some water over the surface and then dabbed the excess with a paper towel. Once dry I used an embossing ink pad and gently rubbed over the surface, just tickling the high points, I then added gold embossing powder and set set. I also added a little embossing ink round the edges of the card and embossed those too. I added a sentiment to the fancy label which comes in the die set.

My second card uses the embossing folder again but this time I embossed to one side giving me room for the die cut floral element. I added a heat embossed sentiment to the flat area of the embossed background.
I stamped and heat embossed the outline of the floral arrangement, I then used the coloring stencil to ink blend, this creates a beautiful look. I added a few enamel dots and then adhered the panel to an A2 note card.
