Nothing says spring has sprung quite like an open daffodil bloom. This layering stamp set features an elegant narcissus in full bloom with a stem and leaf. The flower itself comprises eight detailed layers to give a beautifully realistic look to the bloom. Try using the leaf both ways on your projects to give variety, and stamp the accompanying heartwarming sentiments to inspire your loved ones.
To create my card I started by ink blending a blue background and adding blue and white inky splatters. I stamped the Narcissus images onto Neenah Solar crest card without the outline, at this point I decided I wasn't so keen on not having an outline and wanted to try something different.
I heat embossed the outline in white onto vellum and cut with the coordinating dies. I then used a matt glue to add the vellum over the top of the coloured images, giving a slightly diffused effect. As I didn't use an anti static powder tool before heat embossing the leaves have a bunch of tiny white speckles which I adore. I finished the card with a sentiment stamped in blue rather than my go to black.
