Welcome to Altenew's December Stamp and more release. You should have arrived here from
Linda Parker, if not you can go back to the start of the hop at any time by visiting the
Altenew Blog. This release is packed with stamps, dies, stencils, hot foil plates, embossing folders, paper pads, washi tape and masking tape, soooo much crafty goodness.
Double Foiling anyone? Yes you can double foil on one project. I started by using the
Splatter Hot Foil Plate with an iridescent foil, I then used a blue foil for the
All kinds of Amazing Hot Foil Plate. I was a little worried that maybe foil wouldn't stick to the parts already foiled but it does. I know I will be playing around and trying other double foiled ideas in the future.
For my second card using the
Colorful Soul Stamp Set I decided to go for a really modern feel, with a black background. I stamped and cut the floral elements using the stamp and
Colorful Soul Die Set. Thsi set also has several fantastic sentiments with dies to cut them out too. I love this card so much.
Next up is the Eucalyptus Wreath Hot Foil Plate. I hot foile din gold onto some thick white card and then used the Eucalyptus Wreath Simple Coloring Stencil to add 3 shades of green ink. With the stencil in place I flicked a little water over the inked areas to add texture. I then stamped a sentiment from the Colorful Soul Stamp Set and cut it using the matching Colorful Soul Die Set.
I love a potted house plant so the
Pots and Plants Stamp Set really is right up my street. I stamped and colored two of the images and cut them using the matching
Pots and Plants die set. I added them to an A2 card base which has a strip of washi down the left edge and then stamped a sentiment in the top right.
My final card also uses the
Splatter Hot Foil Plate. Full disclosure, I used a new brand of foil on my machine and didnt realise it needs a hotter heat than my usual brand so when I remover the foil it hadn't adhered 100% perfectly, but I didn't want to waste it so decided to use it as the backdrop for a poinsettia which was cut using the
Poinsettia 3D die set.
