Welcome to the Altenew Paint-A-Flower release blog hop and giveaway, you should have arrived here from Nathalie DeSousa if not, you can head back to the start of the hop at any time by visiting the Altenew Card Blog. The Paint-A-Flower Fashion Monger Dahlia is a beautiful outline floral set with stunning sentiments allowing you to create projects for your friends and family that really will stand out from the crowd.
In this first card I stamped the image in the centre of the card using black waterproof ink. I then used the 12 pan essential watercolor set to add lilac to the flowers and shades of green to the leaves.
I went for simplistic watercolor look and then added lots of inky splatters in lilac and gold. I added a sentiment using the Essential Sentiments strip dies and embellished with a few sequins.
In this second example I only coloured the leaves with a solid colour and then dripped paint down the card front in shades on peach and orange. I dried each colour drip before adding the next so as not to end up with one messy colour.
I added a sentiment with the All About You die set and then added lots of splatters and a few sequins. I love playing with loose messy looks when using watercolour and seeing what effects I can create.
