Welcome to the June Stand-Alone die release blog hop and giveaway for Altenew, You should have arrived here from Sandhya Iyer, if not you can go back to the start of the hop at any time by visiting Altenew Card Blog. Altenew have just released 7 new Stand-Alone die sets. Including an awesome new sentiment set that will add a really cool feel to your projects. I have created 5 cars using the new items, let's take a look at.
I used the
Rings Border die cut four times from two different shades of Orange card, I adhered them to a piece of double sided adhesive. I then sprinkled with green glitter, this gave me an awesome background for the floral element to sit against, I used the
Tropical Jungle Stamp and die set along with my Artist markers. Finally I added a sentiment using the
All about you word die.
For my second card I used an A2 card base along with a piece of the Dreamy Sunset 6x6 paper. I cut the
Peeking Leaves cover die from a piece of green cardstock and adhered it to the card base. I then used the
All about you word die to cut from vellum and the same paper used in the background.
My next project is a fridge magnet. I used the
Abstract Seascape Cover Die, I cut it 7 times and adhered them together and then onto a very thick piece of card. I used Altenew's Watercolor brush markers to add color to each section. I then added seed beads to all of the waves sections before filling them with a glossy glaze to give the look of stained glass. Lastly I added a strip of self adhesive magnetic tape to the rear.
My final card uses the
Abstract Landscape Cover die. I cut the die from both white and black card. I used my Altenew Metallic Ink sprays to add colour to the die cut landscape sections. Once dry I added them and the black outline to a card base. I then added a heat embossed sentiment from the
Spectacular Adventures stamp set.

ReplyDeleteOh my, your cards are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteDelicious colors here, and I really love how you made the first card. I would have tried to adhere the circles to glitter cardstock, which would have been very difficult. Using the adhesive backed paper first, and THEN adding the glitter, is a stroke of genius. I will be using this technique moving forward. Thanks for the tip, and your wonderful inspiration!
ReplyDeleteYou are an amazingly clever creator. Who but you would think to use glass beads like that!? And I love the brilliant use of color (and adhesive paper) on your first card.
ReplyDeleteAwesome cards! I love the one you made with the rings border die!
ReplyDeleteI love how you use different types of media on your projects to create unique backgrounds. My favorite is the waves die card. I love the stained glass look you achieved and that you used seed beads. So cool!
ReplyDeleteI meant waves die magnet, not card.😉
ReplyDeleteAll cute, but just love the red bkg/ green leaves!
ReplyDeleteMost people know that you need a tripod if you intend to make long exposure shots but this is by no means the only reason for using one. In fact, the tripod is probably the most useful photographic accessory for almost all types of photography, here's why. tripod stand
