Welcome to the June Build-A-Flower release blog hop and giveaway. This month Altenew have added the Tree Peony to the BAF family. You should have arrived here from the uber talented
Jaycee Gaspar, if not you can go back to the start of the hop by visiting the
Altenew Card Blog.
I have created two cards using the BAF Tree Peony, so let's jump in and take a closer look.
For my first card I stamped and die cut several of the Peonies and leaves in pink and blue. I laid them out making sure that they overlapped in places so that I could adhere them together to create a panel. I trimmed this down to measure 3.75" by 5"
I used the hang in there die cut 3 times, once from pink, blue and white. I adhered these with a drop shadow effect. I placed the floral panel on 3D foam pads for added interest. I finished by adding some clear Nuvo drops.
My second card uses the delicate sprig stamp to create a soft background. I chose a light blue to stamp over the background panel. I then stamped and die cut one of the Peony flowers and some leaves.
I used the Modern Squares 3D embossing folder to emboss a piece of white card, I added this to some blue card and adhered it to my stamped panel, this provided a place for the die cut images to sit. I added a heat embossed sentiment and a few Nuvo drops to complete the card.

ReplyDeleteI love how you overlapped the Tree Peonies in the first card, so unique!
ReplyDeleteWhat awesome cards. I love your color choices, and they are a great example of how you can keep it simple or use the blooms to completely cover a card front. I also really like your accent choices on the second card. Specifically, the subtle sprig background in blue and the all white textural band using the Modern Squares 3D Embossing Folder.
