Welcome to the Altenew Classic Imagery Collection Blog hop and giveaway, you should have arrived here from Nathalie DeSousa if not you can go back to the start of the hop at any time by visiting the Altenew Card Blog
The collection is available to purchase in store now Classic Imagery Collection. This release has 10 embossing folders and 8 stencils, perfect for adding background detail or for making your focal point. I used the items to create 9 cards, let's jump in and take a look.
My first card is a really simple yet striking card, I used the Areca Palm embossing folder to emboss some green card, I love how deeply Altenew's embossing folders emboss, there is so much detail. I added a sentiment using the Mega Hello die which I added using 3D glue gel.
My next card features the Buffalo Plaid embossing folder, this embossing folder is great for those tricky male cards. I embossed on to a dark blue card and used some copper gilding wax to highlight the high points. I added a sentiment using the Fine Alphabet dies and Sentiment Strips 2 stamp set.
Next I used the Charming Mandala Embossing folder to create a beautiful background for my Poinsettia. The Poinsettia was coloured using Altenew's Metallic Ink sprays. I added a sentiment using the Essential sentiment strip dies.
I love a wooden effect background so the Deck Planks embossing folder was a must for me, I decided to cut the embossed panel and lay them onto my card with space between the planks. I added silver accents in the corner to look like nails holding them down. The floral elements are form the Craft Room Organisation Decal set. The sentiment id from Birch Forest and stamped onto a Nesting frame.
I had a lot of fun with the Fine Tulle stencil, I used it in two ways on this card. I firstly dry embossed the yellow card, this achieved a really nice texture, I then inked through the stencil onto some white card using yellow ink. I added a floral element with the Ruffled Flowers stamp and die set. The sentiment is from the Bold Greetings die set.
Next up is the Henna Square stencil, I used some Pink and Blue inks to lightly blend. I love the detail of this stencil. I added a Fancy Hello die cut sentiment and a secondary sentiment using the Sentiment Strips stamp set.
I used the Illusion twist stencil to add some really fun pattern to my card, Firstly I inked tough is with a light pink and blue ink. I then shifted the stencil and sprayed through some Black ink spray. I added some leaves from the Leaf Mix die set and a Bold Thanks sentiment.
The Lacy Tile stencil is stunning, here is Ombre ink blended for a colourful background to set my Leaf Canopy die cut against. I added a sentiment using the Sentiment Strips 2 stamp set and a few inky splatters.
My final card uses the Spring Blossoms Embossing Folder to create a stunning floral panel, I embossed then ink blended with Rubellite ink, I like to ink after embossing as the colour on the highest areas gets darker and this gives even more depth. I added a Frilly Frame and Sentiments using the Sentiment Strips 2 stamp set.
