I am so excited about today's release and honoured to be a guest designer. This release is jam packed full of crafty goodeness, we have Stamps, Dies, Masks, ink sets and Paper packs. You can see all of the new items here in the new item section >>> New product section
Let's jump in and take a look at some of the new products in use on my cards.
My first card was stamped using Fabulous Florets Stamp Set. This stamp set comprises of 2 layered floral images, 2 layered leaves and a little sentiment. I chose to stamp the putline images and the last detailed layer, omitting the solid base color. I used Deep Iris and Olive crisp inks, and Obsidian for the outlines. I then used the Bold Alpha die set to cut my sentiment, I cut this from the background, and added several more die cut in lilac underneath to raise the letters, I embellished with New Day card kit enamel dots. I am totally loving this look.
My next card uses the Fuchsia Soiree 6x6 Paper Pack, the pad has 24 double sided sheets, 12 unique designs, some floral and some bold grapic patterns. I used one of the large floral images and did a little fussy cutting. As the image is so stunning I really didn't want to over power the design so I placed the cut piece onto a backgroud which I cut using the Candy cane stripe cover die. I stamped and heat embossed a sentiment from the Better Together stamp set onto black card using White embossing powder. I added a few sequinns as my card was complete.
Wildflower Doodles Stamp Set is full of delicate floral and foliage images, perfect for putting together wreaths, bouqets and so much more. I started by stamping some of the images in Silver Lake crisp ink, I then added another layer of images this time heat embossed using the Rose Gold embossing powder. I then added some soft color using Minty Mint crisp ink. I then cut the Nesting frames die set from both white card and Vellum, I added a sentiment from the Better Together stamp set. I love the soft feel of this card, the design would work really well for a wedding card.
My first card using the Happy Birthday to You Stamp Set was a really quick and simple one, I started with a piece of paper from the Cheerful Meadow 6x6 Paper Pack, I used Obsidian ink to stamp lots of Musical notes over the background. I then cut a frame using the Nesting frames die set and stamped the sentiment using Obsidian and Honey Drizzle ink. This was such a quick card to make, perfect for those last moment makes.
My next card using the Happy Birthday to You Stamp Set was a little more involved, I started by stamping the Staff on my background in several places in a playful pattern. I then used several inks to add color to the staffs. Once dry I then stamped all of the notes, treble clefs etc I then stamped the sentimetn using those from the stamp set. I love how fun this card is, it'll be perfect for my son's birthday in a few weeks, he's a little musical genius.
Next up is the Pysanka Stamp Set, A Pysanka is a Ukrainian Easter egg, decorated with traditional Ukrainian folk designs using a wax-resist method. I love a folk art image and this set is perfect for sending to family and friends at Easter. I used the layering stamps to add color but you could use markers, watercolors or pencils. I used Midnight Violet, Rubelite, honey drizzle, Lime, Galactic dream and Obsidian.
Spheres & Spirals Stamp Set is a awesome set full of 7 images and 1 sentiment, perfect for making cards for those tricky people who don't lie floral images. I'm thinking teens and the men in my life. I started by stamping the hexagon image in Rubellite, Fresh Lemon and Aqualicious on a panel of Neenah cardstock. I then trimmed in down and matted it onto a piece of card which I inked with Rubellite ink. I cut a sentiment from the Signature word dies in black. This is such a clean looking card, the sentiment could be changed easily to fit any occasion.
Now my last card was a last moment addition and I have to say it's one of my favourite cards from this release. Using Carribean sky, Lavender Fields, Persian Blue and Deep Iris I stamped several of the spirograph style images over my background. I then stamped the sentiment from the set in black onto a white strip. I then added a piece of silver glitter card and a piece of Lavender Feild inked card beneath, I placed these on to foam tape and voilà my card was complete.
