Altenew Educator "For the Love of Flowers" Blog Hop and Linky Party + Giveaway

Welcome to the for the love of flowers blog hop and Linky party, you should have arrived here from Nandini Karmarkar' blog if not dont worry you can go back to the start of the hop at any time by visiting the Altenew Card Blog

My post today celebrates my love of flowers and 3 of the ways I like to use Altenew products to create floral cards, I am focusing on 3D floral diess, Layered stamping and faux watercolor. Lets jump in and see what I created.

My first card was created using the Open Bloom 3D die set. I love Altenew's 3D floral dies as they create stunning focal images for your projects and can be colored in many ways.

I coloured the Open Bloom 3D die set using crisp inks, to do this I start by adding a double sided adhesive sheet to a piece of Neenah card. I then die cut all of the layers, including the leaves. I leave the die cut pieces in the card stock and blend ink over the pieces.

I added color and interest to the back ground with the Dotted Diamonds Stamp set. All of the ink colors used today are linked below (I used the same across all 3 cards)

My second card was created using Layered stamps, Layered stamps are the reason I fell in love with Altenew products, they take all the hard work out of creating a realistic image. For this card I used the Tulip stamp set.

The image and sentiment came from the same Tulip stamp set, making it so easy to put together a quick card. All I added was some sequinns and a few Nuvo drops to embellish.

My final card features a faux watercolor technique. I used the Watercolor Roses Stamp set, as soon as I saw it I knew I wanted to use it for this purpose. The stamp set can obviousy be used to ink and stamp in the standard way but by now you should have realised I love everything in my craft room to have multiple uses.

I started by inking up the large rose image and then spritzed it with water, I then stamped straight onto watercolor card stock. Straight away you get a softer looser feel that looks just like it's been watercolored. I added another rose and some leaves and buds. The sentiment was stamped in Black ink and the second half heat embossed using Crisp White Embossing Powder and
Embossing Ink.

Inks used in todays post,
Obsidian InkLimeLimeadePuffy HeartPinkiliciousRubaliteRazzleberry, and Pink Diamond
